Walk 'green' from Waarschoot via Gastels to the Lieve Canal, from there to the southern part of Eeklo and Provincial Domain 'Het Leen'.
You round things off with a beautiful forest walk in 'Het Leen'.
What is a Green Stop walking route? The idea is simple: you travel with public transportation to Green Stop A, where a walk departs 'in a straight line'. At the end of the walk at Green Stop B you get on public transportation once again. Both stops are indicated as ‘green stops’. The walks are not typical loop walks in which the car is often used for transportation. The Green Stop project wants to stimulate the role of public transportation in recreational trips.
